Why did we do this project? "We completed this project because we wanted to reflect on our experiences working in a partnership with an area elementary school. This partnership focused on enhancing educational opportunities and supports for dual language learners in preschool, kindergarten, and first grade. As public health majors, we know that education is extremely important and plays a role in later academic achievement and quality of life. We wanted to use this opportunity to reflect on what we have learned from the children, families, teachers, and schools as well as the challenges we faced during this time."
